From 2017 to 2018, Apple Music saw listeners of dance music grow a whopping 40 percent. Now, the company wants to foster more growth with a fresh rebrand of its main electronic dance playlist. From here on out, what was known as The A-List: Dance will be danceXL.
“We’re very excited about the launch of danceXL as the premier brand and playlist for dance music on Apple Music,” says Apple Music dance editor Robby Engle. “danceXL reflects what is happening in dance music culture with the biggest and best songs of the genre. The refresh creates a brand that aims to resonate with the devoted community of dance music fans and artists.”
Famed VJ and visual designer Beeple made the logo. The first danceXL playlist features Alesso, Martin Garrix, Camelphat, FISHER, Alison Wonderland, Above & Beyond, Kygo and Apple Music Up Next artist Jax Jones.
Listen to it now on Apple Music and iTunes.
