AOL has appointed Bill Crandall editor-in-chief of AOL Music. Crandall, who most recently served as music editor for RollingStone.com, will fill the newly-created position starting today (March 13) and will report to Erik Flannigan, VP/GM of AOL Music, Movies and Television.
“I have followed Bill’s career as a writer and subsequent editor and have always respected his depth of knowledge and passion for music. He is that essential combination of music fan and industry expert,” said Flannigan in a statement.
Prior to RollingStone.com, Crandall was managing editor of BAM Magazine in California. As a writer, Crandall has contributed to a number publications including Rolling Stone, Maxim and Urb.
