Annie Lennox can take a notoriously long time between albums, but the artist is now working on a new project, although no delivery date is in the offing.
“I am writing at the moment. I’m at the early stages so I’m not really able to say who I will be working with,” she tells Billboard. No theme has emerged for the follow-up to 2003’s “Bare” (J Records), she says, although, as usual, her standards are high.
Lennox is hoping to deliver an album “with 12 strong, powerful, really emotive songs that people can connect to.” If she achieves that, she says, “I can feel proud of [it], no matter if it sells 10 copies or 50 million.”
“Bare,” Lennox’s first solo album in eight years, debuted at No. 4 on The Billboard 200.
