Anna Lunoe is vibing heavy on motherhood. The Australian producer and DJ says she’s riding a wild wave of creative inspiration, and her latest track showcases a new side of the performer.
It’s unusual for Lunoe to grab the mic, but her latest single “Blaze of Glory” sees her take a much more frontwoman role. She’s serving pop star realness with a catchy hook and center stage attitude, like she’s feeling herself as the next Charli XCX.
”Today is an exciting day for me as I genuinely wasn’t sure if I would ever make music again at some points last year,” Lunoe says in a release. “But I’m back and veering off road into a bit of a different lane with this one. This is a song about the days you wake up with a bone to pick. When you are over it in all the ways, and you want to kick the ants nest and stir things up. I hope this song blows the cobwebs out of your ears and makes you feel a little rowdy.”
She wrote the song in collaboration with her buddy Salva, though he doesn’t get the official credit. There’s a cool music video coming for the tune soon, a fully female-run production to mirror Lunoe’s empowered vibes. You’ll have to wait for that clip in a couple weeks, but you can listen to “Blaze of Glory,” out everywhere on Lunoe’s Hyperhouse label, today.
