Angel Haze Talks Universal Republic Deal, Debut Album & Azealia Banks Collabo
On the 6-song mixtape, the Brooklyn native rhymes over a few hip-hop gems such as Missy Elliott‘s “Gossip Folks,” Jay-Z‘s “Song Cry,” Common‘s “Love of My Life,” Lauryn Hill‘s “Doo Wop (That Thing)” and Eminem‘s “Cleanin’ Out My Closet.”
Yesterday (Wednesday, Oct. 24), the femcee released the heartbreaking, honest song, “Cleaning Out My Closet,” on which she bravely shares of being sexually abused at a young age.
Angel Haze plans to release her debut album at the beginning of 2013. “It’s going to be kind of eclectic, but still a surprise to people,” she told Billboard.
