Andy Grammer, the hitmaker behind the Top 10 smash “Honey, I’m Good” and his latest single “Good To Be Alive (Hallelujah),” will be bringing his A-game to the NBA Finals. The Los Angeles-born, New York-bred singer/songwriter will be performing the national anthem ahead of Monday night’s Game 5 (June 13).
“POSSIBLY THE COOLEST EVENT THAT MUSIC HAS GIVEN ME THE OPPORTUNITY TO BE APART OF TO DATE,” Grammer shared on Instagram with a string of basketball emojis and his own experience on the hardwood. “For a while there I was sure I was going to the NBA. I got MVP of my 8th grade team and started making plans for which team I wanted to play for… but I peaked early –??When I wasn’t a starter my senior year my mom sent me to a therapist about it cause I so sure it my purpose. (I wasn’t even really good I just LOOOOOOVED it) I had never loved anything so much. I would wake up early and practice my left hand dribbling before catching the bus.”
