Two of Amy Winehouse’s dresses — a newspaper-print cocktail dress by Moschino and the anchor-print minidress she wore to marry ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil in 2007 — have been stolen from the late singer’s former London home.
Both items were set to be sold later this year at a fundraiser in New York to benefit the Amy Winehouse Foundation. Last year, the dress she wore on the cover of her “Back to Black” album sold for more than $64,000, and another of her dresses sold for more than $48,000. The wedding dress was expected to net as much as $160,000 for the foundation and the newspaper-print dress was reportedly valued at $48,000.
“It’s sickening that someone would steal something in the knowledge of its sentimental value,” Winehouse’s father Mitch told the Sun. He added, “We’re going through everything else to see what else, if anything, has been lifted.”
