
Amy Schumer‘s career is on the rise but the recent Saturday Night Live host, Trainwreck star and Emmy winner has dealt with her own image struggles over the past few years.

It was thanks to her stylist on Trainwreck, Leesa Evans, who helped her “dress and feel good,” Schumer told Today in an interview aired Friday (Oct. 16). What’s more, Evans helped Schumer’s litter sister as well, mentioning which brought the comedy star to tears.
“It’s an emotional thing,” she said. “It’s been a struggle for me my whole life, and especially just being in the entertainment industry. Standing on a stage in front of people, I can’t perform my best or be confident if I’m not sure — if I’m pulling at something [I’m wearing]. And sometimes I would just want to throw in the towel and be like, ‘I’m not gonna go do standup tonight.'”

Schumer has now teamed with Goodwill of Southern California to educate and inspire women through fashion, saying wants to give this gift “to every woman.”
