Videos spanning Tori Amos’ solo career will be found on the two-DVD set “The Video Collection: Fade to Red.” Due Feb. 14 via Rhino, the set also features commentary by the singer/songwriter on each clip, all of which have been digitally remastered.
“Over the years, whether it be through stills or moving picture, I have always enjoyed dancing with the devil from that other medium,” Amos says. “I have been very fortunate to have worked with some amazing directors and camera people. They took my visions and translated them onto film.”
Videos in the collection include those from Amos’ tenure with Atlantic Records (“Crucify” and “Silent All These Years,” from her 1992 solo debut, “Little Earthquakes”). Her more recent work for Epic is also represented, with “Sweet the Sting” from last year’s “The Beekeeper” and the evocative “A Sorta Fairytale” from 2002’s “Scarlet’s Walk,” the latter starring actor Adrien Brody (“The Pianist,” “King Kong”).
