“Hello, is it me you’re looking for?” Lionel Richie asked that question in the mid-‘80s, and fans have been calling back ever since.
America’s Got Talent contestant Joseph O’Brien asked the question and he got a resounding response.
The charming 20-year-old singer traveled from Columbia, Tennessee for the bright lights of the AGT stage. When Heidi Klum asked if he’d come alone, O’Brien confessed a little more: “No, I don’t have a girlfriend. I’ve actually been single my entire life. I’ve never got a legit date, or anything like that.”
Klum went deeper. Had he ever “snogged” anyone? Nope. It’s not happened. Cue gasps.
O’Brien then went about melting hearts with his keys-and-vocals rendition of Richie’s classic “Hello,” which he loaded with high notes and feels. Check out his audition below.
