Courtney Hadwin was an immediate standout on this season of America’s Got Talent, with her soulful voice winning her a golden buzzer and an automatic spot in the live rounds. This singing competition isn’t her first rodeo, and fans have flocked to Twitter in disappointment after discovering the 14-year-old also competed on the U.K.’s The Voice Kids.
Last year, she made the top six on The Voice Kids. Her grandfather defended her previous experience, noting to the Daily Mail that Hadwin is ready for success in the United States. “We always believed she would do well in the U.S.A. We knew they would get it in a way that the U.K. didn’t. We knew she would go down a storm over there.”

.@AGT Courtney Hadwin was on Britain’s The Voice Kids last year and Simon was a judge. Why wasn’t that mentioned, especially since it comes up when you google her…

Wanna mention that Courtney Hadwin is British and that she was a finalist on the voice uk, kinda funny making your judges fake their reaction. Oh yeah and the fact that the judges aren’t even American

#agt @howiemandel Courtney Hadwin said she’d never performed B4 an audience that big & she & her dad acted like they didn’t know if she could perform cuz she’s so shy. But she was a finalist in The Voice UK! So act is fake! U shudnt B allowed 2 compete if Uve been on other shows!
