Get out your tissues! American Idol has released a preview of the premiere’s opening sequence, its last ever.
The five-minute clip opens with scenes of families, friends and co-workers watching the crowning of each winner and dreaming that one day they would be the next American Idol. As an added bonus, viewers get to see co-hosts Ryan Seacrest and Brian Dunkelman introducing the premiere episode on June 11, 2002.
“There’s not a lot of shows you can watch as a family,” judge Keith Urban says in the clip. “American Idol‘s always had that.”
