It’s a girl!
American Idol season eight winner Kris Allen and his wife, Katy, celebrated Father’s Day weekend with the birth of their second child on June 18, he announced on Instagram.
“It’s A Girl!! Welcome to the world Rosie,” he wrote. “Oh man…I am done. She’s already got me figured out I think. Excuse me while I go learn how to braid hair on YouTube for the next 13 years…cuz that’s how long it’s gonna take me. #itsagirl #rosie.”
Rose Elizabeth Allen was born in Nashville at 4:15 p.m. on Saturday. She weighed 7 lbs., 10 oz., and measured 19 inches long according to People. Rosie joins big brother Oliver Neil, who helped announce the news this January. Allen — who celebrates his 30th birthday today (June 21) — recently released the album Letting You In.
