American Idol season 10 alum Haley Reinhart’s cover of Elvis Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling in Love” has been certified Gold by the RIAA after selling over 500,000 copies, she announced on her Facebook page.
The song was prominently featured in a viral commercial–“The Story of Sarah and Juan” — for Extra gum in 2015, and featured fellow Season 10 alum Casey Abrams on piano.
“This is truly a milestone for me and my career,” she wrote on her Facebook page. “I appreciate all of ya for supporting me along the way and specifically with this record.”
Reinhart has been in the studio recording music for a forthcoming record, and is hitting the road this spring for a European tour.
