A fan reminded Amanda Kloots on Sunday (Aug. 2) how her 13-month-old son Elvis will always carry a piece of Nick Cordero with him in their striking resemblance.
She shared a side-by-side image comparison of Elvis and her late husband on Instagram that the fan had sent her via direct message. Cordero, who was known for his work in Bullets Over Broadway, Waitress and A Bronx Tale the Musical, died on July 5 from coronavirus complications at age 41.

“I have said from the beginning that Elvis is a mini Nick but WOW this side by side sealed the deal,” Kloots wrote in the caption for the images of the two smirking back at the camera. “I’ve noticed now that Elvis does this look a lot to me. When he is playing and I call his name to look at me or we are cuddling in bed and he looks up at me. It makes my heart melt.”
Kloots previously said “his spirit was definitely there” when she remembered the Tony-nominated Broadway actor’s with close friends and family at a private memorial last month, updating fans on Instagram like she had been regularly during his ongoing battle with COVID-19. But her latest social media update reassured that “a piece of Nick that is still alive” with their toddler.
“I feel so lucky to have Elvis in my life. A piece of Nick that is still alive. I am so grateful for that,” the fitness instructor and former Broadway dancer wrote. “I am trying to find the things in my life that I am grateful for through this difficult time when nothing seems right. I always start my day with a positive quote but I am going to start adding in what I am grateful for to remind me that there are always blessings even in the most difficult of times.”
