Paradigm Talent has formed a joint venture with leading electronica/dance booking agency AM Only in a deal that makes Paradigm an immediate player in the electronic space and moves AM Only-and the genre-even deeper into mainstream touring marketplace. Among AM Only’s clients are genre superstars Tiesto, Skrillex and David Guetta.
“This is a joint venture between AM Only and Paradigm,” AM Only CEO Paul Morris tells Billboard.biz. “All of AM Only’s artists will be a part of this partnership and I will continue to run the company.”
With offices in L.A., Monterey, Calif., Nashville and New York, Paradigm’s music clients already include Dave Matthews Band, Phish, Black Eyed Peas, Coldplay, Toby Keith, Aerosmith, and many others. AM Only and its artists will now have access and representation throughout the entire media and advertising spectrum including music, television, motion pictures, theatre, publishing, branding, commercials and endorsements. AM Only will continue to operate from their Brooklyn, N.Y. headquarters under the AM Only name.
The alignment and the growth of this genre are no coincidence as to the timing of the deal. “We felt that with the way our scene was starting to interact with the mainstream business, it would make sense for us to look for a partner that could help us execute our overall strategic plan,” Morris says. “We’re ready, and the market feels ready.”
Paradigm Music Division head Chip Hooper says the two agencies are philosophically compatible. “Paul Morris and the agents at AM Only represent their clients with the same passion and integrity that we have for years, so it’s really a meeting of the minds,” he says. “We’re excited to join forces with them because we think we’re going to make each other stronger. We each bring different things to the table and our goal is to help them grow their business and t assist them in fulfilling their artists’ ambitions.”
