17 years after Alyson Stoner appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show to show the talk show host how to dance following her standout performance in Missy Elliott’s “Work It” video, the actress returned the show on Monday (Sept. 10).
“Can I be your unofficial time capsule of the show?” Stoner joked to DeGeneres before they watched a throwback clip of the two dancing together.

Back in August, during Missy Elliott‘s Michael Jackson Video Vanguard medley at the 2019 MTV VMAs, the icon brought out Stoner to reprise her “Work It” choreography.
“It was absolutely perfect,” she explained of the experience. “First of all, obviously, credit goes to Missy for allowing me to participate and honor her and recreate that timeless moment.”
