Alt 98.7 has announced the Big Adventure festival, an immersive event combining music, comedy, cosplay, gaming, sci-fi, and fantasy taking place in Costa Mesa, Calif. on Nov. 3 and 4.
The festival, billed as a celebration of pop culture and fandom, will feature performances from Empire of the Sun, Modest Mouse, Phantogram, Cold War Kids, Echos, Nvdes, Allie X, Party Nails, and more.

Comedy sets by Patton Oswalt and Jim Jeffries, comic book panels, VR, laser tag, tech demos, and meet-and-greets with top creators in the comic book industry are also set to take place. A massive comic con exhibitor village will welcome wandering cosplay performers and enthusiasts, while offering a marketplace of handmade and exclusive craft items.
In a statement, festival co-producer Rob Tweedie said that the goal is to combine “that great sense of wonder and community” of comic con with the “excitement and energy of an outdoor festival.”
General tickets and VIP passes for Alt 98.7 Presents Big Adventure go on sale Friday, July 13 at bigadventurefest.com.
