Canadian singer/songwriter Allan Rayman returns with the music video for “Stitch” — the first single from his forthcoming album, CHRISTIAN. Produced by Grammy winner Alex Da Kid (Rihanna, Eminem), undertones of rock and R&B are apparent. Chock-full of the artist’s signature mystique, the track is laden with guitar riffs as raspy and melodic as Rayman’s vocals.
“Stitch” documents the singer, who follows friend (and emerging fashion designer) Daniel Gregory Natale as he prepares for Paris Fashion Week. Directed by Rayman’s longtime collaborator Steph Verschuren, Rayman’s moody tune complements the gritty backdrop of New York City.
“Do the threads of their sweaters hang past the rips in their jeans/Before you hand me down try me on trim the sleeves if they hang too long,” Rayman croons as we follow Natale through a trip to the garment district. Back at Natale’s studio, Rayman gives his best blue steel, modeling the designer’s line for a photo shoot.
“For the video, I wanted to follow my friend Dan around New York and see his day to day as an up and coming fashion designer,” said Rayman of the video.
Rayman’s fourth album CHRISTIAN is set to be released later this year. He wraps up his 22-stop North American tour, “The Allan Rayman Show,” tonight in San Francisco.
