ASCAP (the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers) today announced the lineup for its upcoming event at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah.
The Sundance ASCAP Music Café will return for the 14th year and feature performances by David Gray, the All-American Rejects, Ingrid Michaelson, Flying Lotus and James McCartney, among others composers, songwriters and artists.

“We are excited to present this year’s Music Cafe artists to the Sundance Film Festival with eight days of incredible music,” said event producer and ASCAP senior exec Loretta Muñoz. “It is the perfect place for filmmakers to connect with composers, songwriters and artists, fostering new relationships between the music and film communities.”

The Sundance ASCAP Music Café will be located at Rich Haines Gallery (751 Main Street, Park City, UT) and is open to festival credential holders from January 20th to 27th. Performances begin daily at 2:00 p.m. and will showcase both emerging and established artists, allowing independent filmmakers to experience and interact with potential collaborations. To that end, this year ASCAP will host an invitation-only composer-filmmaker Cocktail Party on Jan. 24.
Among ASCAP’s composer and songwriter members to be featured in Sundance films are Philip Glass (Elena), Trevor Rabin (The Movement: One Man Joins an Uprising), and Francis Farewell Starlite (Robot and Frank).
