Alison Wonderland just wants the old Kanye West back.
The Aussie DJ and producer is riding high right now, after delivering headline sets at Coachella and debuting at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart (dated April 21) with Awake, her second studio album. But she’s paused to absorb Kanye’s latest outbursts. And she’s not happy with his performance.
“I miss the old Kanye,” she tweeted. “It hurts when I am a fan of someone and they start doing wack shit. I actually feel let down,” the Sydneysider wrote in a followup message. Wonderland completed her tweet triptych with, “If you have a voice and a reach to influence many people. use it the right way.”

It’s not clear just what part of Kanye’s verbal eruptions hit a raw nerve. There’s been a lot to sift through, from his return-to-Twitter rants and his headline-snatching TMZ newsroom shenanigans, during which he doubled-down on his love for Trump (“That’s my boy”) and shared some ill-advised comments on slavery.
Wonderland, whose new video for “Easy” dropped Tuesday, joins a growing chorus of artists disappointed by Kanye’s antics, a bunch which includes Questlove and Frank Ocean.
