15-time Grammy winner Alicia Keys seems like her accolades would give her all the strength and confidence in the world, but in a new episode of Red Table Talk, she discussed her insecurities and growth, her music and marriage revelations.
The classic red table of the show was transformed into an elegant grand piano, and in a clip posted to Twitter, Keys disclosed her past experiences as a “people pleaser.”
“I’m the one who had to put the bow with the ribbon and the sparkly paper over everything. If everything wasn’t wrapped up with a bow by the time I was finished with it, I was not comfortable,” she explained. “I didn’t feel complete.”
“If a relationship even had to end or if I didn’t make it all right and perfect and good and we all understand each other—it’s so sickening, I’m so annoyed. I want to vomit on my own self,” she continued.
