In these days of self-isolation, Alicia Keys is looking fitter and healthier and sounding better than everyone else.
That’s just one of the revelations of her chat with Stephen Colbert, as the Late Show host aired his latest At Home episode.
Though she’s in lockdown, Keys is in a sharing mood. The 15-time Grammy singer recently tweeted her cell phone number so fans could communicate with her (it’s 917-970-2001). She’s had “thousands and thousands” of messages, she says. “I love connecting with people.”
Sometimes, she’ll sing a freestyle to her fans or send a happy birthday message.
Keys also discussed the new book “More Myself: A Journey,” and the postponement of her forthcoming album Alicia.
Before logging off, she delivered a timely performance of Flo Rida’s “My House,” with a special quarantine spin. “This song is dedicated to the moment,” she said at the top. “I have a feeling we’re all going through a similar thing, so I figured we could break it down like this.”
