Details are emerging on the staffing of Los Angeles’ new Latin pop station Exitos 93.9 FM, which launched April 15. Former Fonovisa VP/GM Alfonso Larriva is the program director of the station, for which Mexico-based broadcaster Grupo Radio Centro provides programming and sells advertising.
The station’s general manager is Barrett Alley, who oversaw the company’s Cadena Radio Centro U.S. Network. Jerry Symon, former general sales manager at Univision Radio’s KLVE, is the general sales manager.
Casanova Pendrill is Exitos’ advertising agency and VPE Public Relations handles PR, while Katz Clear Channel does national sales.
Exitos 93.9 FM is the new format for Emmis Communications-owned KMVN, previously Movin’ 93.9. The English-language station was home to longtime L.A. radio personality Rick Dees before Grupo Radio Centro entered a deal to take over programming and ad sales.
