Jennifer Lopez celebrated her 50th birthday on Wednesday (July 24), and two days later, her fiance Alex Rodriguez is still feeling the after-effects of her party, taking to Instagram to reveal that he’s “so sore” from dancing the night away.

“Jennifer’s done 28 shows in about 58 days,” he said in a video post. “She has two more here domestically here in Miami. Last night for her birthday, it was a big one, it was 50. I danced for about an hour and seven minutes. I couldn’t get out of my bed tonight. I’ve iced. I’ve done cryo. I got stretched. I got a massage. Steam. Sauna. I’ve been drinking coffee all day. I’m a mess. She went out there and destroyed it in Miami. Killed it, like if she slept ten hours. Am I the only one that can’t recover anymore? Does it suck to get old or what?”
Ever the supportive partner, the former MLB All-Star readily admits he can’t keep up with Lopez, captioning the post, “I am so sore from one night of dancing, I don’t know how Jennifer does it! Who else hates getting old?!”
The party reportedly included celebrity guests like Ryan Seacrest, Fat Joe, Ashanti, DJ Khaled and LA Reid. A few days later, A-Rod received a birthday celebration of his own when Lopez stopped her show to bring out a Yankees-themed cake and sing “Happy Birthday” to him in honor of him turning 44 on July 27.
