President Trump celebrated the passing of his repeal-and-replace healthcare plan in the House this week, but with unusually low approval ratings for a new president and a tough road ahead with the GOP’s bill in the Senate, he can’t be having the best week ever.

Baby Boss star and Oscar nominee Alec Baldwin returns to Saturday Night Live on May 6 — this time in voice only — with his over-the-top impression of the president, and a scathing reference to a weird-but-true story: Reporters from the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s claim they received calls from Donald Trump masquerading as his own made-up publicists, John Miller and John Barron.
With Kate McKinnon as Mika Brzezinski and Alex Moffat as Joe Scarborough of Morning Joe, Baldwin calls in to announce himself as John Miller, White House spokesperson.
“I’m just celebrating the fantastic success we had in Congress yesterday with the new healthcare law,” Baldwin says. “After Congress voted, we had a party, there was beer.”
Moffat reminds him, “The bill has to pass the Senate.”
“The what now?”
“The bills goes through the Senate — they might even rewrite the entire thing if they pass it at all,” Moffat explains.
“But,” Baldwin says. “There was beer.”
Likely due to a polarizing political environment and some killer White House administration impressions, Saturday Night Live is having its most-watched season in 24 years. More than 11 million viewers are tuning in on a weekly basis, once live-plus-seven-day ratings are considered.
