Isn’t it ironic? Absurd, more like. Alanis Morissette has tackled her classic 1995 song “Ironic” with a Pythonesque all-clucking performance for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Morissette appeared on the late-night talk show with support from her fellow feathered friends Meghan Trainor (on bass) and host Jimmy Fallon (acoustic guitar) under the guise of Jagged Little Chicks.
“Ironic” (which peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100) appeared on Morissette’s sublime, chart-topping third album Jagged Little Pill, which is currently celebrating its 20th anniversary. She’s certainly not too chicken to have fun with one of its most iconic singles. Watch the clip below.
