
Samuel Benton “Ben” Selecman, Alan Jackson’s son-in-law, died on Wednesday (Sept. 12) after suffering severe head injuries due to a fall. He was 28 years old.
“The District Attorney’s Office is saddened to announce the passing of Assistant DA Ben Selecman,” The D.A.’s office said in a statement to Taste of Country. “District Attorney Glenn Funk said the DA’s Office is thankful for every day that Ben had the opportunity to serve the people of Davidson County. Our prayers are with Ben’s family. He will be truly missed.”
Selecman, who was assistant district attorney for Davidson County in Tennessee was married to Jackson’s eldest daughter, Mattie. He is survived by his parents, Mark and Brenda, and his brother Cole, as well as Cole’s wife, Morgan.
