
Twelve additional bands will be announced today for the debut Life Is Beautiful festival in Las Vegas Oct. 26-27: Alabama Shakes, Cults, Joey Bada$$, Smith Westerns, Nico Vega, The Dig and Dreamers. In addition, L.I.B. and Red Bull Sound Select collaborated to curate a group of emerging artists on the Sound Select platform, including Wildcat! Wildcat!, Chancellor Warhol, the Kingston Springs, Children of the Night, and Tink.
LIB will boast some 50 entertainers, as well as 80 chefs and restaurants, performances by Cirque du Soleil, renowned artists, and more than 25 noted speakers. The initial list of bands to perform at LIF include The Killers, Kings of Leon, Beck, Imagine Dragons, Pretty Lights, Empire of the Sun, Passion Pit, Jurassic 5, Childish Gambino, Zedd, STS9, Purity Ring, Big Gigantic, Portugal. The Man, Earl Sweatshirt, Danny Brown, Dawes, Andrew McMahon, The Joy Formidable, Charli XCX, Living Colour, Allen Stone, HAIM, Youngblood Hawke, twenty one pilots, ZZ Ward, Poolside, Family of the Year, Robert DeLong, Wallpaper., Five Knives, Capital Cities, Cayucas, Cosmic Suckerpunch, Knocked Up Kids, and others.
LIB is developed by Aurelian Marketing Group in partnership with San Francisco-based promoter Another Planet Entertainment (Outside Lands), MAKTUB Marketing, and Downtown Project. “What we are creating, by blending music, food, art, and learning, is going to completely re-imagine the way people experience live entertainment,” predicts festival producer and Aurelian CEO Rehan Choudry, who describes Life Is Beautiful as a “next generation’ festival.
“Life is Beautiful will be a collision of music, food, art, and learning presented as four individual festivals, all on one weekend, for one ticket price,” Choudry tells Billboard. “This format will allow festival-goers to experience an unprecedented talent lineup of musicians, chefs, theatrical productions, artists, and speakers in highly accessible and authentic ways. Our mission is to inspire people to follow their dreams and pursue a life of happiness and beauty.”
