After months of allegations, innuendo and endless headlines, voters in Alabama are finally going to the polls today (Dec. 12) in a special Senate election that pits Democrat Doug Jones against controversial Republican Roy Moore.
Jones, an attorney who prosecuted the Ku Klux Klan members involved in the 1963 church bombing that killed four young black girls, is facing off against alleged pedophile Moore, who has been accused of attempting to date teenage girls when he was in his 30s, has promoted the birther conspiracies against former Pres. Obama, said that “homosexual conduct should be illegal” and recently opined that he thought getting rid of all the amendments after the 10th would “eliminate many problems”; Moore has repeatedly refuted the allegations about his attempts to date underage girls.
After initially being shunned by the Republican establishment, Moore has recently gotten the full-throated support of Pres. Trump, though, as you might imagine, he’s drawn the ire of a number of celebs who have taken to social media to encourage Alabamians to reject Moore at the polls today. Among them was Sleater-Kinney’s Carrie Brownstein, who took a stab at a comment Moore’s wife made from the stump on Monday night (Dec. 11) in which she appeared to brag about the couple’s many Jewish friends.
Take a look at a handful of the comments below.
Happy Hanukkah from me and one of Roy Moore’s attorneys!

I pray Roy Moore loses, but I am grateful the campaign kept him too
busy to apply for a mall Santa job this year.

You are given one minute, ONE MINUTE to speak. It should not be this hard to not say something racist in ONE MINUTE https://t.co/G3gJnBHwzb

DT & Steve Bannon remind you that
1) Charles Barkley is just an out-of-state entertainer telling you all how to vote, and
2) you really should vote for Roy Moore.
