Newly elected Alabama Senator Doug Jones capped off a massive senate win over controversial Republican candidate Roy Moore late Tuesday night (Dec. 12). Besides the important victory for Jones, he made headlines for a different reason as well.
After a heartfelt victory speech, Jones celebrated in stunning fashion with a nod to late 2000s hip-hop group Cali Swag District, walking off to their viral 2011 hit (and now hilariously appropriate) “Teach Me How To Dougie.”
Using the song as a play on his name, Jones’ witty ending to his victory speech garnered excited reaction from people across social media platforms.
