R&B artist Akon will on Nov. 22 release an expanded edition of his 2003 Universal breakthrough, “Trouble.” The original 13-track set will be bolstered with a second disc of collaborations, including two songs with Kardinal Offishall, “Baby I’m Back” with Baby Bash and “Miss Melody” with hip-hop violinist Miri Ben Ari.
Among the other cuts tapped for the bonus disc are “Find Us (In the Back of the Club)” with the Beatnuts, “Keep on Callin'” with P Money, “Never Gonna Get It” with Sean Biggs and Topic and “Moonshine” with Savage.
“Trouble,” which has sold 1.24 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan, spawned the hits “Belly Dancer” and “Locked Up.” The latter spent several weeks at No. 1 on the U.K. singles chart this summer.
Akon can also be heard on Young Jeezy’s current top 10 Billboard Hot 100 hit, “Soul Survivor.”
