AFI bass player Hunter Burgan has signed to Waldman Management as a producer. Burgan, who has been with AFI since 1997, will be managed by Scott Waldman with assistance from Emily Berke. His new team will work to boost Burgan’s credits behind the board.
“I’m very happy to be working with Hunter,” said Waldman in a release. “I’ve been a fan of AFI for over two decades and Hunter is gifted, kind, and a pleasure to work with. We can’t wait for the world to see what he can do behind the scenes.”
Based in Los Angeles, the producer and musician has recently produced tracks for electro-punk group WASI and dark-pop band Holy Wars.
“As a multi-instrumentalist with a decades long recording career and musical taste spanning many genres, I find that producing is a natural fit,” Burgan said in a release. “I’m excited to be focusing on this chapter of my career.”
Most recently, AFI released The Missing Man EP on Dec. 7, 2018, following their self-titled 10th studio album in 2017.
