Aerosmith is getting a blast from the past in an upcoming episode of History’s American Pickers. The pickers got the opportunity to meet their rock ‘n’ roll idols by unveiling their authentically restored original 1970s tour van in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz came across the distinct cartoon-painted 1964 International Harvester Metro on the property of a Chesterfield, Massachusetts resident. The owner pulled up the van from the dirt with his son and called in the help of Wolfe and Fritz to check it out.
“I’m afraid to say how long it is, but it’s like 40 years since we’ve been in this thing,” Aerosmith guitarist Ray Tabano says in the episode once the band gets to lay their eyes on their old mode of transport. “I just flash back to when we first started the band, ‘cause it was an amazing thing, you know. All of a sudden, here’s this thing that you know, we lived in. It was like our dressing room, you know, it was like a rolling hotel.”
