The Florida office of AEG Live has announced that it will produce a one-day music festival at ArtsPark at Young Circle in Hollywood, Fla., this September.
Further details about Dubfest, including confirmed artists and a specific date, will be announced in about a month, according to a spokesperson for AEG Live in Florida.
“I feel like South Florida has been waiting for an event like this for years — a festival that celebrates the beach, the ocean, surfing, skating and more all mixed into one,” AEG Live Florida operations coordinator Jesse Stoll said in statement.
Last August, Stoll was featured in Billboard’s fourth annual 30 Under 30 report. At the time of the report, Stoll, the son of late Florida-based concert promoter Jon Stoll of Fantasma Productions, had big plans for the Southeast region.
“What I’m going to do is try to put some concepts and ideas together for special events and festivals,” he told Billboard, noting that venue acquisitions were also in the works. “Ten or 20 years from now, I want to see something under AEG Live Florida’s name and my name.”
