AEG Facilities has signed a one-year agreement with the city of Seattle to manage the 17,000-seat Key Arena at Seattle Center. The contract goes into effect on Nov. 1.
Under the deal, AEG Facilities, a division of Los Angeles-based sports and entertainment presenter AEG, will provide venue support services to the building, including management of sponsorships, event operations, advertising and premium seating sales. AEG Facilities will also work to maximize events at Key Arena, ranging from concerts to sporting events to family shows.
Seattle Center will continue to manage general building operations and event bookings. The partnership between AEG Facilities and the city of Seattle includes an option for a six-year extension pending approval by Seattle’s city council.
In addition to Key Arena at Seattle Center, AEG Facilities has service agreement deals with San Antonio’s AT&T Center, Indianapolis’ Conseco Fieldhouse and West Valley City, Utah’s E-Center, among others.
