Canadian EDM duo Adventure Club joined Billboard for a game of “1 Has 2 Go,” choosing between Canadian treats, Pokémon characters and fellow EDM musicians.
Asked to eliminate either butter tarts, maple syrup or poutine, band member Christian Srigley ultimately gets rid of butter tarts, explaining that they cannot lose maple syrup. “I don’t think we’d survive,” he jokes. “Our economy would just collapse without it so I’m just looking out for Canada on that one. And poutine, I love poutine, man, I can’t get rid of that.”
Given the option of nixing Charizard, Pikachu or Squirtle, Leighton James immediately says Squirtle, contradicting his bandmate who eliminates Pikachu. “Fuck Pikachu,” says Srigley. “The guy gets so much… let’s give the other guys a chance!”

The duo are also forced to choose between Valentine’s Day gift staples – jewelry, lingerie and roses. “I love roses,” shares Srigley. “I think there’s something beautiful about the fact that they don’t last…You get to appreciate it cause it’s not there forever.” He jokingly continues, “and then the lingerie’s for me…to wear!”
As for who Adventure Club would ax out of fellow dance hitmakers Dillon Francis, Diplo and David Guetta, they reach a consensus on David Guetta. “See ya later, Davey,” replies Srigley. James adds, though, that Guetta’s album Pop Life was one of the first albums he ever listened to in full and that he thinks it’s “great.” James also teases a Dillon Francis story that involves a hotel room and some curtains.
