
Ladies and gentleman, get to know Zony & Yony. The unbelievably adorable twin sisters from Taiwan who are going viral with their adorable cover of a K-pop hit that even caught Ellen DeGeneres’ eye.
Watch below as the six-year-olds sing and dance to Crayon Pop’s “Bar Bar Bar”– the K-pop single went No. 1 on the K-Pop Hot 100 thanks to its viral video. The twins every hilarious Crayon Pop – including the signature “straight-five engine dance” – in what’s certainly the cutest cover to date.
At press time, the video has 1.7 million views on YouTube. The YouTube account its posted on also boasts a cover of J-pop superstar Kyary PaymuPamyu’s “Pon Pon Pon,” home video footage and nearly 17,000 subscribers.
“Bar Bar Bar” Singers Crayon Pop to Tour With Lady Gaga
Ellen DeGeneres may have been one of the subscribers as she invited Zony and Yony on her show. The girls held an endearing interview where the sisters described how they learn music video choreography, their latest birthday party and how people tell them apart—”I’m beautiful!” declares Zony while Yony says, “I’m cute!” Despite the girls not being 100 percent comfortable with English, the interview went off without a hitch thanks to a translator who proves that non-native speakers can certainly appear on U.S. television.
The girls performed a pitch-perfect rendition of “Bar Bar Bar” that delighted the audience who probably didn’t even realize they were listening to a Korean pop track.
Are these girls the next Mary-Kate and Ashley? Ellen is responsible for shooting the young cover duo Sophia Grace and Rosie into superstardom. Can she send Zony and Yony to similar heights? The dancing duo will be back on ‘Ellen’ next week to perform another routine.
