Adam Sandler took to social media on Monday (April 6) to give a thumbs-up to Ariana Grande‘s hilarious reenactment of his 1998 film The Waterboy.
“And how’d u all make use of YOUR day ?” the pop star captioned clip of herself and pals Elizabeth Gillies and Aaron Gross mouthing the double entendre-filled scene from the sports comedy.
In the video, Grande wears a boxy blazer and clashing collared shirt while playing Sandler’s Bobby Boucher. “But you see, there’s this girl Vicki Vallencourt, she may be the devil, Mama said that. Consequently, I’m prohibited from contact with her. But I hope to get past that one day ’cause she nice to talk to,” she lip-synced, imitating Sandler’s naive drawl.
Upon seeing the clip, the comedian clearly appreciated Grande’s take on his innocent character, retweeting the video and writing, “Bobby Boucher approves of this message.”
Of course, this isn’t the first time Grande has shown her love for a veteran comic like Sandler — back in February, she guest starred in Jim Carrey’s Showtime comedy Kidding for a one-episode stint as Piccola Grande, the Pickle Fairy of Hope.
