Adam Levine liked it, so he put a ring on it. And “The Voice” judge admits he’s pretty excited to be able to call Victoria’s Secret model Behati Prinsloo his “wife.”
Now he’s opening up about married life on the season premiere of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” airing Monday, Sept. 8.
“I abuse that word right now, a lot. I’ll say it for no reason. I’ll say, ‘Where is my wife?’ And she’ll be right there. Wife, wife, wife. I love that term,” he tells the talk show host, with his “Voice” co-judges by his side. “I even changed the number on my phone to ‘Wife’ when she calls.”
While he’s perfectly comfortable leaving his bachelor days behind, his pal, Blake Shelton, admits in the preview clip, it’s a bit weird to see Levine sporting a wedding band just months after he said “I do.” Levine and Prinsloo married in July. “I do [have a ring on]. I know. I never really thought I would. It’s trippy. I’m such a child. How did this happen?” the Maroon 5 frontman adds one week after the band’s latest V dropped. (It’s slated to debut at the top of the Billboard 200 chart on September 10.)
In addition to a sit-down with Levine and the rest of the “Voice” judges, DeGeneres will welcome Kanye West’s wifey, Kim Kardashian, to the show on Tuesday, Sept. 9. She will not only be chatting about her own newlywed status, but in a clip posted on Instagram, Kardashian will finally take the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.
