As American Idol readies to head into its final season, Forbes has ranked the earnings of all the shows alumni to see who’s making the most money. Of all those to appear on the show’s 14 previous seasons, Adam Lambert comes out on top.
The season 8 runner-up tops the list for the first time, raking in a career high $10 million, boosted by his performances fronting Queen, according to Forbes.
Carrie Underwood follows Lambert with an estimated $8 million, assisted by the release of her album Storyteller, which was released in October, and live performances. The season 4 winner’s ranking fell from 1-2, after holding the list’s top spot in 2013 and 2014. Her Storyteller Tour kicks off in January and is sure to give her income a solid boost.
In third place, Chris Daughtry surprises with $6 million for his eponymous band Daughtry, which played more shows than anyone else on the list — 91 in the list’s scoring period.
