Andy Allen, the president of Alternative Distribution Alliance who was on sabbatical since November, will rejoin the Warner Music Group with added responsibilities. According to sources, Allen will take a role in all things independent at the Warner Music Group. What exactly that means has yet to be worked out, but Mitch Wolk, executive VP of ADA, who has been overseeing the indie distribution company since Allen began his leave of absence, is expected to still be in charge of the day-to-day operations of that company, reporting into Allen. Allen is also expected to have some kind of role with Ryko Distribution, but that company will remain under the command of its president Jim Cuomo, who is currently out on a personal leave. A WMG spokesman didn’t return a call for comment.
