As the release date for AC/DC‘s upcoming album Rock or Bust grows closer, the Australian hard rock gods have graced us with another video from that LP. This one is for the record’s riff-heavy title track and features AC/DC performing in the round for legions of ecstatic (mostly grey-haired) fans.
And just like their last clip (“Play Ball”), beleaguered drummer Phil Rudd is absent from the proceedings, with Bob Richards handling drumming duties. Blabbermouth reports singer Brian Johnson told the audience at the video shoot that Rudd was occupied with a “family emergency” at the time.
Rudd was charged with trying to procure a murder earlier this month. The charge was soon dropped, but Rudd still faces charges of threatening to kill and drug possession.
After the news broke, Angus Young revealed the band was no longer in touch with Rudd. “He was supposed to show up to do promos with us, to do video shoots and a few shoots and a few other things, and he never showed up for that,” Young said.
With or without Rudd in the fold, AC/DC’s Rock or Bust drops Dec. 2 with a 2015 tour to follow.
In the meantime, AC/DC’s “Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap” — a song about murder for hire — has been enjoying a sales spike.
