AC/DC has added three new concert dates to its North American tour in support of the forthcoming album “Black Ice,” due Oct. 20 via Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club stores as well as ACDC.com.
The newly added dates include performances at Chicago’s Allstate Arena (Nov. 1), Oakland, Calif.’s Oracle Arena (Dec. 4) and Los Angeles’ Forum (Dec. 8). Additional concerts in North America, South America, Europe and Asia will be announced shortly.
The Black Ice World Tour begins Oct. 28 at the Wachovia Center in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. The North American leg of the arena jaunt is scheduled to wrap Dec. 18 at the Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte, N.C.
Ticket on-sales for the jaunt began last weekend, with 18 concerts already sold out at deadline. Many of the shows sold out within minutes, according to a statement from the band. The Black Ice World Tour will be AC/DC’s first outing since 2001. The band is working with various concert promoters in each market.
