It’s official! America’s Got Talent hopeful John Hetlinger is joining Drowning Pool this Friday (July 15) at the Chicago Open Air Festival.
The 82-year-old grandfather first got the attention of the band when he auditioned for the NBC show with a surprising rendition of the hit, “Bodies.”
“We’ll see the bodies hit the floor in the pit,” he said in a clip on TMZ.com.

Hetlinger — who will be treated to copious amounts of alcohol provided by the band — will also be on hand to sign autographs following the set.
After the retired aerospace engineer appeared on AGT, Drowning Pool guitarist C.J. Pierce told Billboard he was on a mission to find him and “have him come out onstage and sing a song with us.”
“We are going to get him onstage and get that on video,” he said.
Drowning Pool will hit the stage at 2 p.m.
