Get ready to rock! 5 Seconds of Summer will hit the road this summer with L.A. band Hey Violet. The foursome will open for 5SOS on their Rock Out With Your Socks Out Tour, which kicks off in May.
The bands confirmed the news on social media in a flurry of very excited tweets about the venture.

The Rock Out With Your Socks Out Tour begins May 4 in Portugal. The groups will play Europe through June. Hey Violet will take a break from the tour during the New Zealand and Australia dates, but will join 5SOS again in July when they play North America. The tour wraps up on Sept. 13 in West Palm Beach, Fl.

It was recently announced that Hey Violet was signed to 5SOS’ Hi Or Hey Records, distributed via Capitol Records.
“We had an image of what we wanted the bands [we sign] to sound like and look like and stand for, and we saw them play and it was exactly what we wanted. We fell in love with them right away. It was an on-the-spot decision,” Ashton Irwin told Billboard about working with the band.
