3LAU builds on the momentum of what is becoming a banner year for the DJ and producer with “Dirty Neon,” a sun-kissed collaboration with Zaxx and Olivera.
The singles follows 3LAU’s debut LP, Ultraviolet, which peaked at No. 7 on the Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart and has collected 40+ million Spotify streams to date. It also succeeds an impressive remix package featuring bass headliners Zeds Dead, Paris Blohm and more.
With respect to the new release, 3LAU tells Billboard, “Greg [Zaxx] and I wanted to capture a summer vibe with nostalgic sounds. We wanted to create something that sonically represents a summer night drive, and I’m incredibly excited for the world to hear it.
Zaxx adds, “It was great for 3LAU and I to connect on this project and align his style with my new musical direction. The end result is a very beautiful and meaningful track for both of us, it tells a great story, and hopefully evokes an emotional connection with listeners.”
“Dirty Neon” arrives on 3LAU’s charity label Blume. Watch the official video for the record below:
