DJ/producer 3LAU has released the visual for his new single “On My Mind” featuring Yeah Boy today (May 24). The music video stars New England Patriots tight end Rob “Gronk” Gronkowski and the WWE’s Moji Rawley.
Set in Las Vegas, the visual opens up with Gronk walking up to a beautiful woman at a bar. After grabbing a drink with the woman (served by 3LAU himself), Gronk starts to daydream about what the two could be.
“For the “On My Mind” video we were able to develop a story that brought an additional layer to the track,” says 3LAU. “We ended up with a hilarious and relatable scenario that should be a departure from what fans may initially expect from the song.”
From envisioning washing a car with beautiful women around him and being delicately covered in sushi to jumping around on trampolines covered in confetti, Gronk wakes up from his fantasy and ultimately loses the girl. While daydreaming, the woman throws her drink in Gronk’s face and quickly leaves. That doesn’t stop Gronk from slipping in and out of reality. The video ends with 3LAU waking up a passed-out Gronk in a cleared-out bar.
“On My Mind” was released in April on 3LAU’s not-for-profit dance music label, BLUME. The proceeds from “On My Mind” will go toward reaching BLUME’s next goal, which is to raise $30,000 for the American Civil Liberties Union.
“3LAU played “On My Mind” for me a couple days before the Super Bowl in Houston and asked if I wanted to be in the music video,” says Gronk. “It ended up being a lot of fun to shoot and what makes it even better is that the money from the song is being donated. It’s great when you can give back while still trying something new and having an unbelievable time.”
