In January, K-pop boy group Seventeen released their sixth mini-album, You Make My Dawn, featuring lead single “Home.” The album started off the group’s year pretty well, topping Japan’s most well-known chart, the Oricon Weekly Chart.
Debuting in 2015 with “Adore U,” Seventeen has been singing about love which boys their age could feel on tracks like “Mansae,” “Pretty You,” and “VERY NICE.” Having introduced various genres like funk, teen pop and EDM into K-pop, the thirteen members belong to three different sub-units respectively and come together as Seventeen flaring with energy. This self-producing boy group is actively involved in song-making and choreography.
Their debut album 17 Carat ranked No. 9 on the Billboard World Albums Chart during the second week of June 2015. They’ve won at the Mnet Asian Music Awards, Golden Disk Awards and many other Korean music awards. Here are 24 things you should know about Seventeen, courtesy of Billboard Korea.
