The nominees for the 2018 Webby Awards have been announced, and JAY-Z, Tiffany Haddish, Lin-Manuel Miranda, RuPaul, Shonda Rhimes and more are up for the internet’s fanciest statuette.
The 22nd outing for the awards boast a handful of new categories — including Machine Learning/A.I., AR/VR, Games, Social Impact/Activism and Podcasts — along with nods for some of the best and brightest web-savvy creators across film, TV and music.
Oprah Winfrey’s SuperSoul Conversations and RuPaul’s What’s the Tee? will compete in the Podcast category; JAY-Z earned a spot for “Smile” in the Best Individual Performance in Film & Video race, and his visual for “The Story of O.J.” is a contender for Music Video in Film & Video as well. Haddish’s “Fight Dirty” campaign for Method is, no shocker, up for a Comedy Webby under the Film & Video umbrella.
Voting for the 2018 Webbys is open through April 19, and winners will be announced on April 24. To cast your ballot, click here.
